The Clients Department is responsible for liaising with existing clients and trying to attract potential new clients which then allows our investors to focus on investing. It is the Clients Department who are the main interface between clients and Baillie Gifford. The LatEMEA Client Service team\xe2\x80\x99s head office is in Edinburgh with additional offices in Amsterdam, Dublin, Frankfurt and Zurich.
Baillie Gifford\xe2\x80\x99s business depends on providing their clients with excellent long-term investment performance and first-class client service. The Clients Department is responsible for liaising with their existing clients and developing relationships to attract potential new clients. Specifically, their Client Contacts seek to build excellent relationships by understanding their client\xe2\x80\x99s specific needs. In order to do this, Client contacts need to develop a detailed investment and portfolio knowledge and be proactive and responsive, which allows their investors to focus on investing. The Clients Department functions as a number of small teams working together to provide their clients with the highest possible level of customer service.
Position profile:
The role of the Manager (Business Development) will be in charge of building and maintaining a strong network to prospective Tier 1 Wholesale and Institutional clients in Germany (and Austria). The successful candidate will proactively identify and develop new business opportunities with these client groups and also manage and service existing clients. As a member or the LatEMEA Client Service team, he/she will be based in Frankfurt, supporting both the Frankfurt and Edinburgh team members. This requires a broad knowledge of the operational side of the industry and Baillie Gifford, internal coordination with a wide range of departments and direct communication with clients and prospects. In detail, the tasks are the following: \xe2\x96\xaa Representing Baillie Gifford and building the brand and reputation of the firm focusing on investors in Germany \xe2\x96\xaa Collecting and sharing feedback from clients on investment strategies, products, and trends \xe2\x96\xaa Participating as an active team player in the local and LatEMEA team \xe2\x96\xaa Build and maintain a strong network of prospective investors, proactively identifying new business opportunities \xe2\x96\xaa Respond to queries from clients and prospects promptly and accurately \xe2\x96\xaa Ensure high standards of marketing are fulfilled. Qualifications:
\xe2\x96\xaa Hold a degree certificate of an economics program specialising in banking, financial services or capital markets \xe2\x96\xaa Any qualification that has been recognised by a competent authority of another Member State of the EUWhere candidates don\xe2\x80\x99t meet the necessary exam requirements, this will be discussed at interview
