\n IEA (International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement) is an independent, nonprofit research organization. We conduct international and national large-scale comparative studies of educational achievement and other aspects of education, with the aim to research, understand, and improve education worldwide. At IEA Hamburg, over one hundred and fifty employees are involved in managing the different tasks of a study ranging from sampling to data analysis. Our experts also provide a wide array of services related to international and national surveys and assessments.

To support our International Studies Unit (ISU), we have an immediate opening for a full-time (40 hrs./week)

Technical Business Analyst (f/m/d)

IEA Hamburg\'s International Studies Unit (ISU) contributes to IEA\'s own international large-scale assessments as well as projects for a broad range of international partners, clients, and governmental organizations. Key activities include stakeholder relations, project management, conceptual and instrument development, survey operations, systems for data collection, data management, training, capacity building, and reporting.

ISU is looking for a Business Analyst with a technical background (mainly a strong working knowledge of SQL) to gain and keep an overview on the different needs for technological products for the different studies and to align these needs across the studies.

• Consulting on technical solutions
• Leading the technical administration of our existing database infrastructure in cooperation with the ICTS department
• Leading the requirements writing for our inhouse software products
• Collaborating with stakeholders (such as developers, testers, content specialists) to define solutions for our inhouse-software products

• Master\'s degree
• Several years of working experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner or in a related position
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Experience with relational databases
• Knowledge of software testing advantageous
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Excellent communication skill
