\n Systems Engineer Senior

GDIT has an opportunity for a System Engineer supporting MOB DCGS-A at Kaiserslautern, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. This position requires someone with a current and active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities:

IFS /P-MFWS/GWS/CDSS System Engineer:

• Initializing, placing into operation and the troubleshooting software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication system being supported.
• Capable for C5ISR system training; experience in the preparation and conduct of military training doctrine (e.g. preparation of Programs of Instruction, Lesson Plans); assist new users with managing system requirements to include data management, data recovery, and techniques to operate/maintain records; provide over the shoulder tech assist or training, troubleshoot, software installation, software updates, and software fixes and be capable of being able to provide other required support.
• Performs systems\' software installation, configuration, and maintenance of CECOM C5ISR Families of Systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintenance experience.
• Responsible for backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of client and server software interaction including web-based application design, support, and integration.
• Perform software, hardware, and network troubleshooting and problem identification and resolution.
• Has experience with remote system administration software.
• Understanding of networking principles and system network configuration.
• Assists Information Assurance staff with all documentation required for accreditation and any other associated directives and regulations.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations.
• Military experience is desirable.

Primarily supports software family of systems - Tactical Intelligence Family of Systems: GWS, IFS, P-MFWS, TGS, Prophet Spiral I, and CDSS. Primary system supported is Distributed Common Ground Station-Army (DCGS-A) Family of Systems.

Qualifications:

• BA/BS or equivalent, 3+ years of experience, or AA/AS and 5 years of experience, or 7 years of experience.
• Must have a current and active TS/SCI.
• Must have Security+ Certification.
• VMWare, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows Server 2012-2019

Additional:

• Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract.
