We are seeking a Senior Program Manager who is passionate about Innovation, Customer Focused Solutions, Organizational Efficiency, Technology and collaborative partnerships.

About the role:

The primary responsibility of the Project Manager is to lead new product development and sustaining efforts within the R&D organization. This includes coordination of global cross-functional team members activities to meet product design requirements, schedules, and production readiness; while also serving as the primary project communication link between R&D and other company departments. The Program Manager will assume responsibility and accountability for meeting program development requirements, fulfilling product definitions, ensuring product and project cost goals are controlled, guaranteeing quality objectives, and delivering on time-to-market solutions.

This strategic position will serve the Global Research and Development Team and will be a Hybrid based role from the preferred office location in Fellbach, with alternate locations in Kempten, or Berlin (Germany), or Delft (Netherlands).

In this role, you will be:

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of projects and programs that include product conception, definition, design, and release to manufacturing.
• Developing, maintaining, and executing detailed project schedules, project plans and budgets.
• Leading the development efforts of global team members.
• Ensuring success of cross-functional activities across all product development phases.
• Responsible, either directly or indirectly through delegation, for all project management activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or related field.
• Five or more years of relevant experience in a product development, portfolio management, engineering, or manufacturing environment preferred, with at least three years of direct experience with product development.
• Broad understanding of products and processes, including design, manufacturing, and market use of products.
• Minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in project management of product development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Understand and leverage lean tools like Problem Solving, Daily Management, Launch Excellence, VoC.
• Leadership skills, knowledge of effective team building approaches, team dynamics and conflict resolution.
• PMP certification is desired.
• Ability to utilize commonly accepted project management tools to assist in the development of, and adherence to a project schedule.
• Business English \xe2\x80\x93 German Language is an added benefit.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• The Meteorology, Hydrology or Solar Industries.
• Best practices in Engineering Change Management and Research and Development Processes and their execution.
