• As a Senior DevOps Engineer you are responsible for the design, build and run of Bosch\xe2\x80\x99s internal Knowledge Layer and Graph Database Platform, where the main responsibility of your role is to coordinate an international team, while working closely with other DevOps engineers and platform stakeholders, in order to shape the future Knowledge Layer platform ecosystem.
• You will be responsible for designing and implementing orchestration, automation, and security of the platform - both on-premises and in the public clouds.
• The further development of the platform according to the customer requirements, using the know-how in the field of knowledge layer domain and/or graph database technologies is one of your tasks.
• Ensuring stable operation of the platform, e.g., by implementing monitoring, automation and integration with other parts of Bosch IT, also falls within your area of responsibility.
• Consulting platform users, management and other stakeholders on technical level regarding tool selection, code quality, connectivity topics and workload performance, round off your work.
• Furthermore, you organize and lead technical readiness testing for an IT product or solution (considering reliability, scalability, performance, and best practices for enterprise IT and/or cloud).
• Finally, you will coach team members, work hands-on and lead by example to tangibly incorporate SRE best practices into the daily operational routine of the team.

Qualifications

• Education: completed university studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, Sciences, Engineering, or a comparable subject
• Experience: experience as a Software or DevOps engineer in the area of complex platforms, e.g. Big Data ecosystems or comparable experience with Graph Databases (e.g. Anzo, Stardog, Neo4j)
• Knowledge: hands-on experience in Linux, monitoring and automation tools (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet); know-how in public and private cloud technologies and automation (e.g. Azure, Docker, Kubernetes); hands-on experience in at least on major scripting or programming language (e.g. Python)
• Personality: team player, analytical, outcome-oriented, responsible
• Working Practice: structured, independent, analytical, agile
• Enthusiasm: willingness to learn, understand and adapt to new technologies; willingness to work in a larger team including customers; enjoy working in an international team
• Languages: business fluent in written and spoken German and English
