We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented \xe2\x80\x9cSenior Cloud AI application developer\xe2\x80\x9d to join our AI and Machine Learning R&D team. In this role you will be responsible for the development of state-of-the-art applications in collaboration with different departments of Zeiss (ophthalmology, laser vision correction and microsurgery). You will also have a key role in establishing the process and developing the generic infrastructure for the deployment and operation of AI-based medical applications on cloud.

This role involves close interaction with different teams and functions across different locations and departments. For this role you need a solid hands-on experience developing web applications, and/or could based microservices and need a deep understanding of at least one of the AWS, MS Azure, or google cloud tools and services.

Your primary tasks include:

Develop AI applications including the front- and back-ends

Review requirements and, verification plans from SW development perspective

Conduct code review for AI algorithms and applications ensuring high level quality of the code

Provide guidance and mentoring for junior SW development colleagues

Establish and review QMS documents related to SW development for releasing AI applications.

Develop AI applications and infrastructure

Support establishing and operating the standard practices for the development and deployment of medical AI applications

Defining the blueprint of AI-based software products based on regulator guidelines (e.g. FDA, NMPA, etc.)

Establish the mechanisms of continuous monitoring (CM) and continuous learning (CL)

Establishing best practices and templates for algorithm change protocol (ACP) and software pre-specification (SPS).

PhD, or master\'s in computer science, machine learning, computer vision, informatics, or related fields.

5 years of experience working as software developer with hands on experience (front-end and back-end)

Experience developing cloud applications with any of AWS, Google Cloud, MS Azure

Profound programming skills: Python, JavaScript, NodeJS

Knowledge of ML algorithms and ML development frameworks is a plus

Knowledge in some of the following areas, technologies and standards is a plus: ML algorithms, ML development frameworks, microservice architecture, IaC, DICOM, FHIR, REST-full API, SaaS, OOP

Experience working in a regulated environment (healthtec, automotive, pharma, etc) is a plus

Strong team-working and communication skills

Well-organized and clearly structured, agile working style

Commitment to good practice for software development and provide profound documentations to a broad internal as well as external audience

Strong team-working and communication skills, oral and written

Mindset of sharing knowledge and provide technical guidance to colleagues

Fluent in English.
