Summary
The candidate in this position will split his time between direct development of business sales activities of the Voith Turbo Industry Division in hydraulic linear drives, systems, and pumps for industries in the mid-western U.S. and provide technical backup assistance to inside sales. The ideal candidate will have an understanding for this geographical market which includes heavy machine tool builders for equipment such as injection molding and press builders along with end-users. The candidate should possess sales experience in the fields of hydraulics, machine tools along with electronic controls of these types of equipment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the sales in the mid-western U.S. for new products, aftermarket, services and retrofit for hydraulic linear drives, systems and pumps products.
Assist inside sales with providing technical information to customers.
Provides backup support of inside sales including preparing quotations.
Understand customers\' requirements (OEM\'s, Distributors, End Users and Integrators) in the sectors of heavy machine tools builders, press industry, punching and nibbling systems, mills and high pressure and reliability pumps market.
May be required to provide some field service/assistance for Voith pumps and systems.
Responsible for meeting sales goals for the region.
Interface with product group managers as necessary to achieve the industry strategic goals.
Visits customers and negotiates contracts as required in conjunction with factory support.
Responsible for helping to resolve customer issues both in the territory and assist the group with additional areas.
Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree from college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certification of Fluid power is an asset
Minimum 5 years of sales and service-related experience
Ability to read and analyze technical drawings, P&ID and controls as well as interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
Knowledge about electrical drives, automation and hydraulic drives is an asset.
Ability to comprehend overall intentions and requirements of technical specifications
Up to 50% travel may be required
Familiar with software packages such as MS-Office, SAP, Navision and Salesforce.
