WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A MANAGING DESIGNER

This role is an outstanding opportunity for a talented practitioner with a track record in the methods and application of design thinking, co-creation and acceleration.

The successful candidate will manage large, complex design events and lead small-to-medium sized engagements and teams. As an integral part of shaping a growing capability, the candidate will embody the firm\xe2\x80\x99s purpose of creating \xe2\x80\x98breakthroughs to achieve the amazing\xe2\x80\x99 whilst managing engagements in a dynamic and fast-moving environment where innovation is cherished.

The role will require plugging into the broader Oliver Wyman business in order to successfully deliver the value proposition and capabilities of a high-end strategy firm.

A Managing Designer leads the project and commercial management of multiple engagements whilst winning the trust of clients by delivering flawlessly, on time and on budget.

As an unflappable, determined and a great relationship builder, you own day-to-day communications with the client and keep the team energized, aligned and coordinated.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Direct and practical work history in a large consulting firm environment
  • Extensive application of design thinking/innovation/acceleration methodology in the course of managing large client facing engagements
  • Evidence of high impact design and facilitation within large group processes
Outside of the technical, design and facilitation skills outlined above, the following describe the critical attributes to bring:
  • Willingness to learn and apply collaborative and outcome focused methodology to transformation programs and business design
  • Works closely with our strategy consultants and clients to enable a smooth and mutual problem-solving approach, also confidently acts as the interface between clients and Oliver Wyman strategy consultants
