\n Koh Young Europe GmbH, headquarted in Alzenau near Frankfurt am Main in Germany, is a subsidiary of Koh Young Technology Inc, based in Seoul, Korea. We lead the global 3D Inspection systems market, with over 16,000 installed systems. We support customers and distributors in the Automotive, Industrial and Medical industries across Europe, with the implementation and operation of software and hardware solutions for SMT production.

We are actively seeking an Applications Engineer for our 3D Inspection and Smart Factory solutions to strengthen our Customer Care Team in Alzenau.

Your Role

• Implementing and supporting our 3D Inspection and Smart Factory solutions (software and hardware) with our customers across the Automotive, Industrial, Medical and EMS sectors.
• As technical advisor, responsible for providing your customers with assistance in the analysis and development of concepts and the resolution of problems. Your role extends to playing an active part in evaluations and projects together with engineers from our distribution partners.
• Among your other activities, you will take part in inter-disciplinary project and product teams from Europe and Korea, assessing technical requirements and their deployment.
• You will take the lead in keeping our customers and distributors ahead of the learning curve in on-site as well as virtual workshops, and in our in-house streaming studio.

Your Background

• The interaction of hardware and software excites you. You are as comfortable with Allen keys and camera lenses as you are with administering MS Windows, SQL or webservices.
• Prior experience in Industrial Automation in SMT production, Image Processing / Optical Inspection (SPI or AOI) is advantageous.
• Your strengths in analytical thinking and creative problem-solving, as well as your flexible mindset and excellent communication skills set you apart.
• You are comfortable in a customer-centric, service environment.
• You thrive in exchanges with international partners from Asia and Europe.
• You have successfully completed your technical education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics.
