Global Foreign Exchange (GFX)

Global Foreign Exchange (GFX) is a vital part of the DB Investment Bank that provides our clients with many ways to manage their currency risk. GFX is an industry recognized market leader in many products (like Options, Swaps) and top-3 in all FX products across the world.

GFX heavily relies on its technology to stay ahead of the competition. Our products are used by clients, trading desks, sales and operations. They provide connectivity with brokers, exchanges and clearing houses. The development of our products gives engineers a unique ability to learn business, work with big data and analytics.

Your key responsibilities

• Designing, developing and maintaining high-performance, low-latency and scalable streaming platform on Apache Kafka
• Collaborating with other engineers, analysts and application stakeholders to deliver solutions for e-trading applications that require real-time data processing and analytics
• Monitoring, troubleshooting and optimizing the performance, latency, availability and security of Kafka clusters and applications
• Contributing to the adoption of hybrid cloud technologies and best practices for streaming data architectures

Your skills and experiences

• Several years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong ability to collaborate with other teams and support colleagues
• Understanding of Linux and networking
• Understanding of performance monitoring, capacity planning, failover and disaster recovery is a plus
