Oncology Data Science Platforms
The Oncology Data Science \xe2\x80\x93 Data, Analytics, and AI Platforms (ODSP) team comprise multiple groups across the Cambridge UK, Boston MA, Gaithersburg MD, and Munich DE sites. ODSP develops technology, software, and data infrastructure to advance our Oncology data science. Our vision is to evolve data science into a driver of innovation within Oncology. We do this by creating a strategic culture that values our data as a true business asset, organizing our data so that it\xe2\x80\x99s accessible and easy to find, integrated, and re-usable for Humans & AI, and building the best data computational tools to support scientific decision making.
What you\xe2\x80\x99ll do
Develop high quality, scalable, robust, and well tested web applications using ReactJS with typescript..
Write robust test-driven front-end code using test frameworks such as playwright, selenium and jest.
Design modern event-driven microservice architectures using languages such as typescript, python and golang.
Work in a multi-disciplinary environment spanning pathology, bioinformatics, and translational medicine to understand their scientific and technical challenges and proactively impact these.
Work very closely with the AI-Engineering team to expand our web based platform to; 1) deploy deep learning -based image analysis algorithms for digital pathology solutions within AstraZeneca 2) develop a platform for semi-automated annotation workflows that allow to apply AI based algorithms interactively.
Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential for the role:
Relevant M.Sc, or equivalent graduate degree
At least 5 years professional experience as a Full-Stack Developer
Strong experience using Javascript/ Typescript and one of the following languages: Go, Python
Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
Follow best practices in software development methodologies
Desirable for the role:
Experience in writing E2E tests
Experience in using cloud technologies, preferably AWS
Experience with SQL or No-SQL databases
Experience in container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes
Experience in CI/CD, GitOps
Good understanding of agile development processes
Experience working in regulatory environments
Good understanding or hands on experience with Event Sourcing
Good understanding or background in Image Processing
