AVIATION FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (M/F/D)
In this position you become highly knowledgeable in the specifications, capabilities, and operation of Garmin avionic products and provide technical support on our products to customers and distributors.
This means you answer customer and installer technical inquiries regarding Garmin products via telephone, chat and e-mail concerning operational, troubleshooting and avionics installation related issues.
You also arrange repairs and exchanges for customers and distributors and provide guidance for exchange of out-of-box failures of Garmin equipment and on regulatory topics concerning various equipment and aircraft operations under EASA regulations.
You review special circumstances and authorize warranty service when deemed appropriate.
You act as liaison between customer and associates of other departments within Garmin and monitor, document and report failure trends in Garmin equipment and give improvement recommendations.
You develop and maintain department and company image and philosophy to the public and represent Garmin at meetings, conferences and trade shows.
Of course you always remain current on changes in policies, procedures, and product offerings.
Minimum of 2 years experience in avionics installation and troubleshooting
B2 and/or B1 license, private pilot license or higher desirable
Ability to LRU level troubleshoot and repair various avionic systems
Broad knowledge of aircraft systems and avionics sub-systems
Superior customer-oriented attitude
High level of interpersonal and communication skills
Detail-oriented and can work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Driven problem solver with proven success in solving difficult problems
Fluent in English
German, French or Italian skills would be a bonus
