Job Summary:
Provide in-depth technical support for inside and outside sales personnel. Work both directly and indirectly with customers to ensure the best possible match between the company\'s product and the customer\'s application. Function as a liaison between the customer and the various disciplines within the company. Assist in the development and facilitation of technical training to relevant sales personnel.
Responsibilities:
Support Field Sales, Inside Sales, Customer Service, Direct OEM customers, and partners with recommending solutions to match customer requirements and specifications.
Secure and share (when applicable and allowed) product documentation (data sheets, drawings, and specifications) with internal and external stakeholders.
Provide pricing recommendations to sales leadership and team members based on: manufacturing cost and market dynamics (average selling price, competitive offers, and value differentiators).
Improve and execute process to aid with the setup of new product numbers in ERP (adding new item, setting up intercompany costing and standard selling prices).
Provide guidance and answer questions about product specifications, technical attributes, and commercial differentiators.
Liaise with other functional teams and customers to aid in the resolution of product performance and quality issues.
Support product, engineering, and operations initiatives (NPD, i2V, product rationalization, etc.) mainly through business case analysis and VOC / VOS gathering and analysis.
Develop and deliver product training for commercial team members and partners.
Other responsibilities as assigned or required.
Experience required
Five to ten years of experience supporting commercial operations (sales and customers)
Industry experience with microfluidics in Life Sciences is preferred
Demonstrated experience working effectively cross-functionally and in a global setting
Experience capturing customer requirements and translating them into recommendations
Education / Training required
Bachelor\'s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Biotech, etc.), Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Biochem, Mechanical, etc.), or related degrees
PowerPoint; ability to learn and use other software programs as required
Fluency in both English and German is required
Working knowledge of continuous improvement practices is preferred
Candidates located in Germany are preferred given location of customers and internal resources
Home-based with 25 to 50 % travel, mostly domestic, sometimes international
