ABOUT THE TEAM

Numbers run the business: In the Finance Department, we see ourselves as a business partner and enabler for our operating teams and management. We facilitate a smart corporate and financial strategy with technical expertise across accounting, regulatory, tax and strategic financial planning & analysis, allowing Trade Republic to make educated decisions at every step. We believe in the power of numbers and the story they tell.

WHAT YOU\'LL BE DOING

• You will be the go-to-person, responsible for developing and implementing our accounting policies (HGB, RechKredV, IFRS)
• Be the face of Accounting when working closely with stakeholders across the company to define applicable accounting standards and logics support new product development
• Spearhead continuous development of our accounting standards, incl. local GAAPs, IFRS conversion, leading several topics with a high degree of independence
• Drive conversations with internal and external auditors and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including our year-end group audit

WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR

• At least 3 years professional experience in accounting, financial services, audit, or a comparable position in a top-tier accounting / advisory firm
• Excellent technical accounting (HGB, IFRS) knowledge, including experience with group reporting / consolidation
• Self starter with the drive to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, high-growth organisation
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex accounting topics succinctly
• Hands-on experience in the banking sector or a fintech startup with in-depth knowledge of relevant banking-specific topics and accounting complexities will be a plus
